Lorain, Ohio, August 14, 2024: United Way of Greater Lorain County and Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital have announced the United We Sweat Cleveland Clinic Caregiver Series, a monthly series aimed at providing free health and wellness education to residents and workers in downtown Lorain. Classes will be held the third Friday of each month from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at United Way, 642 Broadway in Lorain. The series will run through the remainder of the year with each session featuring a new topic and expert speaker.
“I’m proud to expand our collaboration with Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital to uniquely offer the expertise of their caregivers to further benefit the community,” said United Way of Greater Lorain County president and CEO Ryan Aroney. “United We Sweat offers a variety of classes that meet the diverse needs of our community, and this series will enhance those offerings and will be a fun and informative lead-in to our Free Friday Yoga class.”
United We Sweat is an impact initiative powered by United Way of Greater Lorain County that aims to ensure everyone in Lorain County has access to quality physical activity and wellness opportunities no matter their location, age, or skill level. United Way partners with a network of trusted health organizations to offer free health and wellness activities throughout the county that eliminate the barriers of cost and access.
