May 4, 2022: Pathway, Inc.’s Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP), on behalf of Lucas County Job and Family Services (LCJFS), will be conducting the 2022 youth/young adult employment program. The worksite period for the SYEP is scheduled to begin June 6, 2022 through August 26, 2022.

SYEP is soliciting worksites within Lucas County to provide a meaningful work experience for 14-18 year old in school youth. A one-week training period for participants that encompasses basic computer knowledge, professional skills, and career development will precede a seven-week work assignment with participants working 25 to 40 hours per week.

SYEP plans to serve approximately 60 young people through the duration of the program. SYWP will be responsible for the recruitment, eligibility, and assignment of young people to potential worksites. SYEP will be the employer of record and will assume all risks related to employment. Participants will be paid hourly at the rate of $13.00 per hour. Worksites are responsible for providing on-site orientation, work experience, payroll submission, and on-site supervision.
