A unique insider’s journey through Bestowing Beauty: Masterpieces from Persian Lands.
Dr. Aimee Froom will discuss the universal themes evoked in the exhibition: love, power, banquets, battles, and faith.
The artworks on display are drawn from the Hossein Afshar Collection—one of the most significant collections of Persian art held in private hands—these works are rarely displayed publicly. Dr. Froom is a specialist in Persian Art and is overseeing the installation of the Afshar collection in the new galleries for Art of the Islamic World at MFA Houston. This is a rare opportunity to learn from her deep expertise.
