Jaime César Molina, Toledo, Ohio, passed away at age 49 surrounded by his family and close friends at St. Charles Hospital on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.

Jaime was born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, México and was a song writer, vocalist, and bass player who performed with his brothers as Grupo Vizión based out of Harlingen, Texas in the early 1990s. They toured the Florida and North Carolina area in 1992.

Jaime relocated to Toledo, Ohio in 1996 and restarted the band in Ohio performing the Tejano-Norteño style music for many years in the Midwest Area. Grupo Vizión recorded with Discos Joey of San Antonio, Texas in 2002.

The band continued strong through 2006 when Jaime was diagnosed with kidney failure. He was fortunate to have his sister-in-law, Julie Selvera, donate him a kidney in 2008 but retired from performing after suffering a stroke.

Jaime owned Mi Mexican Store, which was in business from 2002 through 2005. He also helped run Las Palmas Night Club from 2005 – 2008.  Jaime was best known for his willingness to help, funny sense of humor, and unique laugh.

He is survived by his former spouse, Maria De La Luz Molina; brothers, Jose Luis (Maria de Jesús) Molina, Juan Pablo (Lucy) Molina Jr., Guadalupe (Chela) Molina, Israel (Celina) Molina, and Francisco Javier (Vicky) Molina; sisters Alma Yolanda Cardenas and Maricruz Cardenas; and several nieces and nephews who he dearly loved. He is proceeded in death by his Parents, Juan Pablo Molina Sr. and Guadalupe “Lupita” Molina.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Toledo, Ohio at 3pm followed by a reception at the church hall until 6pm.
