• 

  Peter and Paul 20^th Annual Golf Outing occurs on Sunday, August 20, at Ottawa Park golf course, 2315 Walden Pond Dr., Toledo. Check in is at 7 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Cost is $75 per person, which includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, lunch, door prizes, a 50/50 raffle, and prizes for the top three finishers. Dinner will be held after the golf outing at the church hall. The golf outing is held annually in loving memory of Jimmy Dickens. • The next edition of Toledo’s Top Talent will be held Sunday, August 20, 4:30 p.m., at the historic Ohio Theater, 3114 Lagrange St., Toledo. The artistic development program features youth and young adults ages 12 to 24 who have auditioned for the chance to perform at this and other community events. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased in advance at toledotoptalent.com.
• Latins United once again is offering discount tickets to the 50^th annual Mexican Fiesta in Milwaukee, which takes place August 25-27, with an international expo that runs noon to midnight each day. The weekend festival features food, music, folklore, culture, and family-friendly fun. Tickets are buy one, get one free at $24 while supplies last. • Latins United and El Corazón de México Ballet Folklorico annually team up to organize GritoFest, scheduled for Labor Day weekend on Sunday, September 3, 3 to 11 p.m., outside the Latins United meeting hall, 706 S. St. Clair, Toledo. There will be entertainment, dancing, contests, kids’ activities, music, food trucks, and vendors. Admission is $5.

• Latino Heritage Day with the Toledo Mud Hens takes place at Fifth Third Field Sunday, September 17. The 21^st annual event will include scholarship presentations to Latino college students at home plate before the game, a concert by Yvonne y Fuego with a special guest Jenny B, as well as other activities and events. The game versus archrival Cleveland Guardians AAA ballclub Columbus Clippers is always a competitive matchup. Concert begins at 12:00 Noon. Game begins at 2:05 pm.  Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased by calling 419.870.6565.
• La Familia Mancha Entertainment has organized a Hispanic Heritage Festival that will take place at Williams Park in Gibsonburg, Saturday, September 23, 3 p.m. to midnight. Admission is $5 per person or $10 at the door. Children ages 5 and under are free. Musical entertainment includes the Tejano Sound Band, Los Hermanos, and Texas-based Asalito, with a special guest appearance during the festival by Bumper Gómez. The day’s activities include a car show, vendors, cash bar, raffles, and family fun, along with a performance by El Corazón de México dancers. Midwest Tejano Radio and Midwest Tex-Mex Radio are co-sponsors.
