Josephine C. Campos (Toledo, Ohio), passed away on March 17, 2024 at the age of 80.
Josie loved having holiday parties for her grandchildren making lots of memories for generations to come. She was an amazing cook, and an avid euchre player. She loved her Steelers and Buckeye football, a die-hard fan.
Josie was very active at St. Martin de Porres Church and headed the celebration of the Virgin of Guadalupe and St. Juan Diego annually.
Josie worked for Chrysler Jeep for 31 years as a Special Checker before retiring in 1998.
Josie leaves to cherish her memory sons, Guadalupe “Lupe” (Vickie) Blanco, Felix “Hap” (Imelda) Blanco, Casimero Foust, Anthony (Holly) Foust and daughter, Corina Jo (Ron) Cooper; and stepchildren, Rachel (Gary) Portillo, Ramón (Shelly) Ramirez and Rebecca Ramirez. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren that she loved and cherished deeply. Her sisters and brother, Mary Jane Campos, Consuelo Flores and Frank “Butch” Campos; foster sisters and brother, Rosie (Frank) Ortiz, Sally, Debbie, Joe and Tricia Campos.
Josie was preceded in death by her children, Dolores, Santos, Martin and Reyna; grandson, Guadalupe Blanco, III; parents, John and Irene Campos; brothers, Charles and John Jr.; sisters, Dolores Lemon and Janette Velloquillo; sister-in-law, Annie and Bonnie Campos; nephews, John Flores and Rudy Flores Jr., Victor Orosco; nieces, Cathy Sedlar and Denise Rothwell.
Josie will be remember for her love, selflessness, humor and beauty by all who knew her.
A rosary was held on Sunday, March 24th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Newcomer – Sw Toledo Chapel (4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo. A funeral Mass was held on March 25th 2024 at the St. Martin de Porres Church, 1119 Bancroft St, Toledo.
