March 1, 2025: The Crew earned a 1-0 win at the New England Revolution in Gillette Stadium on Saturday, March 1.
The Crew are 2-0-0 to start the 2025 MLS regular season. It’s only the third time in the Club’s 30 years opening the year with two wins (2014 and 2018).
Forward Jacen Russell-Rowe recorded the opening goal for the Black & Gold in the 51st minute of the match.
Russell-Rowe has a goal in each of the Crew’s first two matches and is tied with Forward Diego Rossi for a team high with two scores. It’s the third time the Toronto native has scored in back-to-back contests after doing so once in 2023 (vs. FC Cincinnati, Aug. 20; and vs. Toronto, Aug. 26) and once in 2024 (vs. Chicago Fire FC, March 9; and vs. New York Red Bulls, March 16).
Defender Mohamed Farsi earned his first assist of the season and 12th career on Russell-Rowe’s goal.
Goalkeeper Patrick Schulte earned his first clean sheet of the regular season and 18th career. Across all competitions, Schulte owns 21 career shutouts (two postseason, one Concacaf Champions Cup).
The goalkeeper registered his 34th MLS regular season win, surpassing Mark Dougherty and Zack Steffen for fourth in Crew annals.
The Black & Gold travel to face LAFC at BMO Stadium in the first leg of the Concacaf Champions Cup Round of 16 on Tuesday, March 4 [10:30 p.m. ET / FS2 / Alt 105.7 FM (English); ViX (Spanish)].
