Reminder: The KeyBank Discovery Theater has two, sensory-friendly showtimes for 3D educational films. Every Tuesday at 4:15pm and every Sunday at 12:30, will have the lights up and the volume down giving all visitors an opportunity to experience the wonder of the GIANT screen.

Engineers of all ages are invited to explore the interactive world of mechanical linkages. Linkages are a system of mechanical bars and joints that can create an incredibly complex series of movements. Many things from cranes to bicycles to scissors lifts have their core mechanics based in linkages. The possibilities are endless! Let’s bring ideas of motion to life!

Experiment with electrical components like buzzers, switches and bulbs and build your own circuit. Dive into the cool and creative world of CODING and program your very own robot (YES, a ROBOT!) and discover the interactive world of mechanical linkages and turn ideas of motion into reality

 

February 4, 11 & 25 – Sheep Heart Dissections

Your heart can do amazing things! Its main function is to pump oxygenated blood through your entire body. Uncover how this vital organ works at Imagination Station! February 16 – The Untouchables

KeyBank Discovery Theater | 7pm

In February 1933, Congress passed a proposed 21 st Amendment that would repeal the 18th Amendment. On December 5, 1933, the 21st Amendment was approved. This was the first time in American history a Constitutional amendment had been appealed.

On February 16, 2023, Imagination Station steps back to 1930, during Prohibition, when the KeyBank Discovery Theater presents: The Untouchables. Who can forget the notorious kingpin Al Capone (Robert DeNiro) facing off against Elliot Ness (Kevin Costner) in this classic 1987 American film.

February 18 – Superhero Day

Free with admission | 10am-5pm 

What’s your definition of a superhero? It’s different for everyone. Perhaps it’s a doctor who performed lifesaving surgery or a professional athlete. It could be an EMT or a firefighter – even Spider-Man himself. Superheroes come in all shapes, sizes and species and Imagination Station is bringing them to you for Superhero Day at the science center.

Visitors can meet the front-line heroes of the Toledo Fire and Rescue Department, the amazing Assistance Dogs from the Ability Center and special guests from Laurel’s Princess Parties.

Superhero Day is free with admission or membership to Imagination Station. Lucas County kids get in FREE every Saturday.

 

February 20 – Open Presidents Day

10am-5pm

School’s out and we’re open! Stop by Imagination Station for a day filled with excitement, experiments and exploration!

 

Lucas County residents get a $2 discount on admission every day.
